Haag Müller, Inc. worked closely with Ronald McDonald
House Charities (RMHC) and the Franciscan Skemp Design Committee to create a
warm and welcoming lobby and waiting room space for the Emergency & Urgent
Care. A creative floor plan layout with curved inlay flooring and
soffits helps to break up the long narrow space. Modular upholstered
lounge furniture was used in this space to create a variety of seating zones
and to provide a comfortable and relaxing waiting environment. A kids
corner with an activity table and custom handpainted interactive "eye spy"
artwork is located in the space and protected by a lounge seating group.
The use of warm finishes, materials, and lighting create a calming space in a
typical high-anxiety and stressful environment.
